What Boubool is

Boubool is an application for personal tracking of lifestyle habits (food, activity, sleep, body measurements) during and after weight loss, with or without treatment. It is published by Beabita, a sole proprietorship registered with the Belgian Crossroads Bank for Enterprises under no. BE 0860.949.927 (Belgium).

What Boubool is not

Boubool is not a medical device and replaces neither a doctor, nor a dietitian, nor a pharmacist. It makes no diagnosis, gives no advice on dose or treatment, and does not interpret your laboratory results. The reference points it displays (protein, steps, sleep, waist circumference, estimated lean mass) are lifestyle reference points based on general recommendations; they do not take your particular medical situation into account. Any decision concerning a treatment is a matter for your doctor.

Estimates

Some values are estimates (lean mass from the US Navy formula, theoretical metabolism, VO2 max or basal energy estimated by your watch). They are indicative, carry a margin of error, and are there to follow a trend — not to establish an exact value.

Boubool Pro subscription

After a full trial period, using Boubool requires a subscription (monthly or annual) or a one-time purchase, sold by Apple through the App Store. Prices are shown in the app before any purchase. A subscription renews automatically at the price shown, unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, in your Apple Account settings. Payment is charged to your App Store account. Refunds are handled by Apple under its own terms.

Your data

Your data stays on your device and in Apple Health (see the privacy policy). You are responsible for your iPhone backups. Deleting the app deletes its local data.

Liability

Boubool is provided “as is”. The publisher cannot be held liable for a decision taken on the sole basis of the information displayed by the app, nor for an entry error or a synchronization error with Apple Health or a third-party device.
